Upcoming commissions include a piece for toy pianist Phyllis Chen for her Concert Artists Guild debut at Symphony Space in January 2009, as well as a piece for the Ethos Percussion Quartet to be premiered in March.
I am excited to be collaborating again with the Moving Theater Dance Company and the International Contemporary Ensemble for performances of my music in January 2009 at the Park Avenue Armory in NYC.
Doug Perkins will play "Simple Songs of Birth and Return", a piece I wrote for him for mbira and electronics, at the Percussive Arts Society International Convention in Austin on November 5, 2008.

Odd Appetite
toured Europe and Russia last September, appearing at the Long Arms
Festival in Moscow, the Apositsia Festival in St. Petersburg, and
giving concerts in Holland and Belgium. We also recorded two duos for a
cd of Ha-Yang Kim's music, recently released on Tzadik.
